LONGVIEW, TEXAS - Due to expected rain in the East Texas area on Saturday, the LeTourneau University softball team has announced schedule changes to this weekend's American Southwest Conference home-opening series against Louisiana College. 

The YellowJackets will now play a doubleheader on Friday, with the start time being moved up from 6 p.m. up to 5:30 p.m. Game two will follow the first game at approximately 7:30 p.m. or 30 minutes following the conclusion of game one. 

Saturday will now feature a single game between the YellowJackets and Wildcats, with first pitch tentatively scheduled for 12 p.m. depending on the weather. A final decision on a start time for Saturday will be made either late Friday night or early Saturday morning depending on how quickly the expected weather system moves through the area. 

Friday's games will officially mark the LETU softball 2018 home opener, after seeing their first four home games of the year either postponed or canceled due to weather.
