Box Score SHERMAN, Texas – A goalkeeping clinic Austin College's duo of Kenedie Lane and Meredith Harris secured a 2-1 setback for the LeTourneau women's soccer team Saturday at the Dr. Jack R. Pierce Memorial Soccer Complex.

In the season opener for both sides, the Yellowjackets (0-1-0) trailed 1-0 hole just four minutes into the fixture, when the Kangaroos' (1-0-0) scored from straight on at the top of the box.

A foul in the penalty area by the home side gave LeTourneau a chance to get on the board in the 35^th minute. Reagan Sandford calmly stepped up and netted the equalizer inside the right post. Less than a minute later, Sanford nearly tallied the go-ahead marker when her shot clanked off the cross bar. Noora Elibiary sprung Austin Rose Cortez with a through ball and leaving Cortez one-on-one with the keeper. Both sides held the other off the board in the final stanza.

The Yellowjackets open their home slate Monday at 5 p.m. against Dallas.

LeTourneau outshot Austin 19-7, including 14-4 in the opening half.
The 'Roos saved all but one shot on goal, which came off a penalty kick.
