Box Score LONGVIEW, Texas – LeTourneau didn't have an answer for the offensive pressure applied by Dallas in a 2-0 decision at the Joyce Family Athletic Facility Monday.
After a scoreless opening 45 minutes, a pair of Crusaders' (1-1-0) attempts found the back of the Yellowjackets (0-2-0) goal.
"We failed to finish in the final third," head coach
Alyssa Taramona said. "We need to continue to work on our confidence and taking shots when we have them."
Olivia Grytza broke the tie three minutes into the back of the net when she deposited an Adrea Coppi cross into the low right corner of the net.
Monica O'Donnell jumped on a loose ball inside the 18-yard box and slipped it into an open net, extending Dallas' advantage to 2-0.
Inside the Box:
Kiersten Reeser stopped seven of Dallas' seven attempts on goal.
Dallas outshot the Yellowjacket 17-4, with nine on goal.
The Crusaders committed nine fouls and three offsides, while LeTourneau tallied one each.
