LONGVIEW, Texas -- A home-heavy schedule is set for the 2023 edition of the LeTourneau softball team as the program is will play 22 of its 40-game schedule at home.

Under seventh-year head coach Stan Wells, the YellowJackets open the season on Feb. 19 with a home doubleheader against Trinity (1 p.m.).

That twin-bill kicks off 22 home games for the YellowJackets as part of a 40-game schedule. The ASC slate takes up 27 of those contests.

Following the season-opening games against Trinity, LeTourneau stays at home to host Hendrix for a pair on Feb. 25. The YellowJackets will also have home non-conference games against Southwestern (one game, March 7) and SUNY Oneonta (doubleheader, March 16). LeTourneau will play neutral site games in Marshall against St. John Fisher (March 6) and Illinois Wesleyan (March 13).

ASC play begins on March 3-4 with a three-game set at Sul Ross. Concordia visits Longview for three games on March 10-11 to start the 15-game home conference schedule. LeTourneau will also host Mary Hardin-Baylor (March 31-April 1), McMurry (April 14-15), Hardin-Simmons (April 21-22), and Ozarks (May 5-6) in league play.

The ASC Tournament begins on May 11.

SCHEDULE NOTES:

• LeTourneau will face two NCAA Tournament teams from 2022 in Illinois Wesleyan (March 13) and East Texas Baptist (April 6-7).
• New opponents on the schedule include Illinois Wesleyan, SUNY Oneonta, and St. John Fisher.
• The 2023 season will be the 24th in program history.
