LONGVIEW, Texas – LETU softball hits the road to Belton, Texas as it travels to play No. 25 Mary Hardin-Baylore in a three-game series, beginning Thursday at 6 p.m.

The YellowJackets come into the contests after falling 2-1 in a series against No. 5 Belhaven. LETU was the second team all season that has held the Blazers scoreless in a contest. The Jackets are led by four batters who each total more than 22 hits on the season. Alysa Torres spearheads the group with 33 hits, while Kylie Grisham follows with 28. Callie Poore and Madelyn Tannery round out the quad with 24 and 23 hits, respectively. Torres also leads in RBIs with 20, while Grisham and Poore both have 17. Grisham and Poore have both smashed four apiece over the wall to lead the team. The lightning fast Kiley Banks leads the squad in stolen bases with eight. A trio of pitchers highlights LETU in the circle. Hailee Leger leads the group with 49 innings pitched. Bailey Richey and Laney Taylor also see time in the circle, totaling 46.1 and 38 innings worked, respectively. Richey leads the team in strikeouts with 38.

Mary Hardin-Baylor fosters in a 25th national ranking into the contests. The Crusaders also carry a three-game win streak into the series after sweeping Concordia in a trio of games. Lexi Harris controls things at the plate for UMHB, totaling 40 hits on the year. Blakely Niles and Julia Crofut lead the squad in RBIs with 15 apiece. Izzy Gutierrez also chips into the batting efforts with 10 RBIs of her own. Crofut sits at No.1 on the Mary Hardin-Baylor roster in homeruns with four. Elissa Elliott and Harris each tally eight stolen bases to lead the Crusaders. In the circle, UMHB features a duo of pitchers in Rachel Williams and Bayleigh Grogan. Williams and Grogan have pitched 79.2 and 78.2 innings, respectively. Grogan has 52 strikeouts on the season, while Williams has 37.
