RICHARDSON, Texas -- For the second time this season, LeTourneau softball junior pitcher Hailee Leger was named the ASC Pitcher of the Week, announced the conference on Monday.

Leger also collected honors on Feb. 20.

A junior from Belle Chasse, La., Leger continued her tremendous start to the 2023 season last week. She threw her second complete-game shutout of the year in a 4-0 win at Sul Ross on Friday. She totaled a season-high nine strikeouts and scattered four hits and three walks in the shutout.

It was her second shutout of the season after blanking Trinity on Feb. 19.

In 20 innings this season, spanning three starts, Leger has allowed just one run while striking out 20 and holding opponents to a .167 batting average. She holds a 0.35 ERA and a 0.75 WHIP on the year and is 3-0. Leger leads the ASC in WHIP and ranks second in strikeout-to-walk ratio at 6.67. 

LeTourneau is in action on Monday against St. John Fisher in a doubleheader (4 p.m.).
