LONGVIEW, Texas -- A full slate of meets are set for both the indoor and outdoor seasons for the LeTourneau track and field programs in 2025.
Under first-year director of track and field/cross country
Dillon May, the YellowJackets are slated to send athletes to six regular season meets in the indoor season and eight in the outdoor season. LeTourneau track teams will be members of the SCAC and eligible for awards and conference titles.
The indoor season kicks off on Jan. 11 at the UAB Blazer Invite, hosted by Division I member Alabama-Birmingham at the Birmingham CrossPlex. That meet begins a stretch of five straight weekends of competition for the YellowJacket teams and is one of three meets hosted by Division I members.
On Jan. 17, the teams head to Norman, Okla., for Oklahoma's Owen Hewett Invitational before finishing January at the FasTrak Indoor Invitational in Houston on Jan. 24.
In February, the teams travel to Lake Charles, La., for the McNeese College Indoor II meet on Feb. 1. The following weekend on Feb. 8, the YellowJackets will go back to Houston for the FasTrak Collegiate Indoor Last Chance Invitational. Multi athletes will then get a chance to compete in those events at the Russ Jewett Indoor Gorilla Classic, hosted by Pittsburg State in Kansas, on Feb. 14-15.
The NCAA Division III Indoor Championships are set for March 14-15 in Rochester, N.Y.
The outdoor season begins on March 1 at the Mississippi College Spring Cleaning Classic in Clinton, Miss. Following a week off, the teams continue the outdoor season on March 14-15 at the Rhodes Invite.
Five straight meets at Division I members highlights the second half of the schedule. That stretch begins on March 21-22 at the TCU Alumni Invite followed. On March 27-29, the YellowJackets will send athletes to both the Bobcat Invitational & Multi, hosted by Texas State, and the prestigious Texas Relays in Austin.
The Bill Schmidt Classic, hosted by North Texas on April 4-5, and the Carl Kight Invitational, hosted by Stephen F. Austin on April 11-12, round out the slate of meets leading to the SCAC Championships.
The SCAC Championships will be held on April 25-27 in Seguin, Texas.
The NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships are scheduled for May 22-25 in Geneva, Ohio.
