ABILENE, Texas -- In an announcement made at Sunday's conference championship, LeTourneau men's track and field senior
David Dugan was named the 2026 SCAC Men's Track and Field Elite 19 Award winner.
Dugan also won the award for men's cross country following the SCAC Championships in the fall. He and women's golf senior Hannah Newell have earned the award during the 2025-26 academic year.
The SCAC Elite 19 is awarded annually to the student-athlete who has at least a cumulative 3.25 GPA, at least 60 credit hours at his or her current institution and earns All-SCAC honors for that particular season.
A senior from Lake Oswego, Ore., Dugan finished second in the 10,000-meter event at the SCAC Championships on Saturday to earn All-SCAC honors. Dugan posted a 33:12.20 and gave LeTourneau eight team points with his finish. Later in the Championships, Dugan was 14th in th 5,000-meter event.
During his career, Dugan was a two-time all-conference honoree in track and earned four all-conference selections in cross country. Both of his track all-conference honors came in the 10,000-meter event.
Dugan holds a 4.0 GPA in mechanical engineering and is a six-time conference all-academic honoree.
