COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- LeTourneau women's cross country had four runners set personal bests as the team came in 37th at the Arturo Barrios Invitational 6,000-meter race in College Station.
The YellowJackets were the lone Division III participant in the race, with the majority of remaining competitors being from Division I institutions.
Alayna Galloway continued leading the pack for LeTourneau with her team and personal best time of 25:00.5, almost a minute faster than her previous best.
Madelyn DeLosSantos also ran well, breaking her previous personal record by almost 19 seconds (25:42.9) to place second on the team.
The final personal bests were
Peyton Chaney, who continued lowering her best 6k time with a 26:49.3, and freshman
Rivkah Schmickle (27:07.1), who ran about 38 seconds faster than her previous best.
Felice Mullinax finished one spot ahead of Chaney in the race with her time of 26:25.7 and
Hope Greenwald (27:23.6) rounded out the YellowJacket running crew.
Wake Forest was crowned the team title winner, but Elizabeth Khatevi of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi won the individual side with her time of 18:56.1.
UP NEXT
LeTourneau will participate in their first SCAC Cross Country Championships on November 1 in Houston.
