LONGVIEW, Texas -- LeTourneau men's basketball graduate student
Walker Blaine, senior
Caedmon Liebengood, and sophomore
Logan Brinkoeter were all named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® team, announced the organization on Tuesday.
CSC, formerly known as CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The three Academic All-District honorees are the most LeTourneau has had in one season.
Blaine, a graduate student from Kingwood, Texas, earned All-ASC honorable mention in 2024-25. Blaine averaged 8.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game while making 45.1 percent from the field. A fifth-year player, Blaine had a season-high 20 points with nine rebounds in a win at Centenary on Jan. 7 and followed that with 17 points and a career-high 14 rebounds in a win over Howard Payne on Jan. 16.
Blaine graduated in Spring 2024 with a degree in business finance and is pursuing a master's in business administration. He is a four-time ASC Academic All-Conference selection and a two-time NABC Honors Court award winner.
Liebengood, a senior from Longview, Texas, was an All-ASC second team selection and earns his second career CSC Academic All-District nod. The forward averaged 15.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. He shot 56.3 percent from the field, second-best in the ASC, and made 27 3-pointers on the year. Liebengood had 21 double-digit scoring games and three double-doubles this season. He had a season-high 29 points in a win over Sewanee on Nov. 22.
Majoring in scripture and theology, Liebengood was the LeTourneau Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2023-24. He is a three-time ASC Academic All-Conference honoree and collected NABC Honors Court last season.
Brinkoeter, sophomore from Georgetown, Texas, played in 25 games and averaged 3.6 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. He had 15 points and six rebounds in a win over Dallas on Dec. 11 and had nine rebounds in a game twice during the year.
Majoring in business management, Brinoeter earned ASC Academic All-Conference last season.
To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-America® program students must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA, be a significant contributor to the team (having started in 66 percent of the team's games or played in over 90 percent of those games), and be at least a sophomore academically.
