NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- LeTourneau women's cross country competed at the SFA Lumberjack Invitational on Friday evening, taking third place behind two Division I institutions.
The race was the first two-mile cross-country race of each of these ladies' careers.Â
Alayna Galloway had the best time amongst the YellowJacket runners at 13:15.0, landing 15th, while
Madelyn DeLosSantos ran a 13:27.0, to finish 16th.Â
Freshman Rivkah Shmickle came in 17th in her first career race, establishing a new benchmark of 13:36.0 in the two-mile. Fellow freshman
Katelyn Chavez also added her own initial benchmark of 14:17.0 to place 20th.Â
Felice Mullinax (14:08.0),
Peyton Chaney (14:13.0), and
Hope Greenwald (14:23.0) rounded out LeTourneau's squad.
UP NEXT
LeTourneau will head to the Rice Invitational in Houston on September 12, with the scheduled start time being 6:20 p.m.
