HOUSTON, Texas --
Alayna Galloway and
Peyton Chaney shattered their previous personal bests in the 4,000 meters as LeTourneau came in fourth at the Rice Invitational in Houston.
Galloway led all YellowJacket runners with a 19th place time of 16:19.2, far outpacing her previous best of 18:01.1, while Chaney's time of 18:00.7 significantly outdid her old record of 19:13.3.
Madelyn DeLosSantos ran a 17:11.7 to also come in the top 25 of all runners at the meet, and second among LeTourneau runners.
Felice Mullinax ran a time of 17:34.5 to land 28th, while freshman
Rivkah Schmickle established a benchmark of 17:44.7 in her first 4k.Â
Katelyn Chavez (18:05.0) also established a new benchmark in her first 4k, while
Hope Greenwald (18:21.1) rounded out the YellowJacket runners.
