BATON ROUGE, La. -- Personal bests were abundant as LeTourneau men's track and field competed at the LSU Twilight meet on Friday.

Ten personal records were set at the meet, headlined by Calvin Mason's program record in the weight throw. Setting the program mark for the second time this Spring, Mason threw 16.80 meters (55' 1.5") and took third-place in the event. Mason also hit a season-best mark of 15.51 meters (50' 10.75") in the shot put.

Xander Nabors had a busy and successful day on the track, setting personal-best times in the 60-meter (7.21), 200-meter (23.21), and 60-meter hurdles (8.82). 

Jean-Michael Ndiaye took home first place of 11 runners in the 200-meter with a time of 23.11. Ndiaye also recorded a personal best in the 60-meter dash, with a time of 7.17. Abdiel Rincon also set a personal-best mark in the 200-meter, running a 23.88.

Justin Lindberg had a career day in the 500-meter, collecting a time of 1:14.92.

The YellowJackets ran rampant in the 800-meter, with Xavier Davilla placing second with a time of 1:59.62, and seeing Austin Jett (2:01.95), Isaac Stucker (2:04.84), John Wesley Ely (2:07.42), Chris Morelli (2:07.42), and Jack McCarty (2:09.03) all setting personal-bests.

"The men had an awesome day at LSU," said LeTourneau director of track and field Dillon May. "Lots of guys who have been doing the little thing all year who are finally starting to see that work pay off."

UP NEXT

LeTourneau will send individuals to the South Region Final Qualifier & Multi on March 6-7, while the remainder of the team prepares for the outdoor season.
