SUWANEE, Ga. - LeTourneau volleyball junior Rebekah Dragoo was named SCAC Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career, the conference announced on Monday.
A junior from Beckville, Texas, Dragoo averaged 5.41 digs per set with 119 digs over five matches for the Yellow Jackets. The Panola College transfer posted a career-high 40 digs in a four-set win over Huntingdon and added 37 digs with four aces in a five-set loss to Millsaps.
On the season, Dragoo ranks second in the SCAC in total digs with 152 and is fourth in the league in digs per set at 4.75. The junior's 152 total digs also rank number 27 nationally.
LeTourneau (3-5) is back in action this weekend, heading to the ETBU Tiger Invite Sept. 18-19.
