Shorthanded YellowJackets Lose to UT-Dallas, 6-0

Box Score Starting the game with eight players and playing at times with seven, the LeTourneau University women's soccer team dropped a 6-0 decision to the University of Texas-Dallas on Friday afternoon at the Joyce Family Athletic Village.

The Yellow Jackets (1-12, 0-4 ASC) were short on numbers but not on effort in the contest. One of the players who epitomized that type of effort was freshman Ashley Gleghorn (pictured), who has rose to the occasion to play goalkeeper for LETU.

Gleghorn, who played the first 11 and half games as a midfielder, has stepped up to play between the posts for the YellowJackets. The Houston, Texas native made 15 saves in the contest.

UTD (5-7, 3-1 ASC) scored twice and added four in the second half for the win. The Comets' Carli Beckett scored twice and assisted on another to lead an attack that had 41 shots including 23 on goal. In addition for UTD, Eboni Udenze scored a goal and assisted on two more as they had five-different players record a goal and five also had an assist. The Comets used three goalkeepers in the shutout.

LeTourneau will continue its homestand when they host the University of the Ozarks on Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Joyce Family Athletic Village.
