Box Score The LeTourneau University women's soccer team finished its season on a strong note, despite losing to the University of Texas-Tyler, 7-1 on Saturday.

Texas-Tyler (11-5, 6-4 ASC) had six-different individuals score a goal including Chestley Strother, who scored twice to lead the Patriots to the win. The host Patriots scored five times in the first half and twice in the second half for the win.

LeTourneau (1-18, 0-10) scored its lone goal in the 26th minute when Raylene Gould found the back of the net after Stephanie Vana dribbled the ball through the UTT defense for 40 yards before setting up the goal. Goalkeeper Ashley Gleghorn had 14 saves for the YellowJackets.

LETU head coach Jamie Lindvall continued to shower praise on his hardworking team, despite the outcome. "We continue to be amazed as coaches with what these women have done all season playing numbers down. Today was no exception and we are so proud of our girls for today's performance. We scored a beautiful goal in the run of play with seven on the field and fought to the finish against a very good, quality team.
