RICHARDSON - The LeTourneau YellowJacket women's tennis team picked up its first win on Thursday afternoon and looked to carry that momentum into their first American Southwest Conference contest against Texas-Dallas. However, the Comets were too tough on their home court as they knocked off the Jackets, 9-0.
The Jackets started things off in the doubles competition and could not get into any sort of rhythm as the Comets were able to take all three points.
They then went to singles where Texas-Dallas was too much for the Jackets, taking all six games in straight sets. Junior Kayla Bonina gave great fight in her match at No. 3 singles, but fell short.
LeTourneau will return to action on Thursday as they travel to Marshall, Texas for ASC play against East Texas Baptist. First serve is set for 4 p.m.
