LONGVIEW, Texas -- The LeTourneau men's and women's tennis programs both earned ITA All-Academic Team honors, while 10 YellowJackets garnered Scholar-Athlete accolades between the programs.
The team awards marked the seventh time under head coachÂ
Suzanne Merritt each program has been recognized for their work in the classroom.Â
For teams to earn ITA All-Academic honors, they must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA.
Five players on the women's team collected honors as
Anaiah Smith,
Chloe Tesser,
Emmy Phillips,
Maddie Nichol, and
Kylie Weeks were all recognized. It was the second career honors for Phillips, Nichol, and Weeks.Â
The women's team had a 3.32 GPA as a group in the spring semester and had four named to the SCAC Academic Honor Roll.
The men's program also tallied five on the ITA Scholar-Athlete list.
Zach Farris,
Timothy Black,
Brayden Money,
Grayson Cavel, and
Hayden Harry all garnered honors. Farris earned the honor for a fourth time in his career, while Cavel collected his third career accolade. Black, Harry, and Money all secured their second career honors.
As a team, LeTourneau men posted a 3.35 GPA during the spring semester and had nine student-athletes earn SCAC Academic Honor Roll.
