The LeTourneau University women's tennis started the spring with a 7-2 loss to Schreiner University on Friday afternoon in Longview.

Megan Rush defeating Karyn Swink and Kelsie Buczkowski, 9-8. Schreiner won the other two doubles matches for a 2-1 lead as the match shifted over to singles.

Kayla Bonina won a three-set match at No. 3 singles defeating Karyn Swink, 6-4, 6-7, 10-7. Bonina, who during the fall, reached the finals of the "B" Draw at 2013 USTA/ITA Regional Championships. Senior
Sarah Case dropped a three-set decision at No. 1 singles to Leanna Haynes, 6-0, 6-7, 10-2.
The YellowJackets will quickly turnaround and play three matches in two days, starting on Saturday, Feb. 15 against Temple Junior College at 2 p.m. in San Antonio. They will follow that up with a pair of matches on Sunday, Feb. 16 against University of the Southwest (10 a.m.) and Our Lady of the Lake (2 p.m.).
