The LeTourneau University women's tennis team split its two matches on Saturday. The YellowJackets began the day with a 6-3 win over Louisiana College and dropped a 9-0 decision to the University of Texas-Dallas at the end of the day.

Kayla Bonina defeated Alex Marlin and Corey Dixon by a score of 8-0. At No. 2 doubles, senior
Shelby May and junior
Megan Rush posted an 8-1 victory over their LC counterparts.

LeTourneau only gave up just one point in taking No. 2, 3, 4 and 5 singles. May at No. 2 singles, Bonina at No. 3 singles and Rush at No. 5 singles won in straight sets by scores of 6-0, 6-0. Freshman
Amy Miley won at No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-1.

In the afternoon matchup against ASC pre-season favorite Texas-Dallas, the Comets won all nine matches. LeTourneau senior
Kayla Bonina was the lone YellowJacket to win a set. She took Cindy Tiu at No. 3 singles to a third set before losing. The Carrollton, Texas native dropped a 7-5, 2-6, 6-3 decision.

LeTourneau will be back in action on Saturday, March 1 when they host Hendrix College at 9 a.m. at the Davis Tennis Courts.
