Box Score The LeTourneau University women's basketball team closed out the regular season with a 67-63 win over East Texas Baptist on Monday night in Marshall.
The YellowJackets (11-14, 9-13 ASC) overcame an early 14-point deficit to the host Tigers en route to the win. Despite a 13-0 run during a two-minute stretch of the first half, LeTourneau scored 14 of the final 18 points of the first half to close within four. Then, in the second half, freshman
Ashley Crockett made a layup for a 39-38 lead to give the visitors only their second lead of the game. However, LeTourneau never relinquished the lead for the rest of the contest.

Jessica Manas scored a team-best 14 points to go along with seven rebounds, four steals and three assists in the win. Manas paced a LeTourneau bench that outscored East Texas Baptist, 38-20 in the win. Sophomore
Kalyn Shorter gave a spark off the bench with a career-best nine points in six minutes of action.

The Tigers (9-16, 7-15 ASC) were led by the 20-point effort from Jasmine Davis. She was joined in double digits by Amanda Rucker, who added 11 in the defeat.

With the YellowJackets holding a 52-48 lead, they scored seven unanswered points to stretch the lead to 11. However, East Texas Baptist managed to cut the deficit to one, 63-62, with a 14-4 run. However, LeTourneau has one of the top free-throw shooters in the nation in its arsenal – Manas. The Fort Worth, Texas native is ninth in the ASC and 218
th in the nation with a 76.7% effort. Manas made two free throws with 1:06 to play to stretch the lead to three, 65-62.

East Texas Baptist had a pair of chances to either tie the game or draw within one but a missed layup with 14 seconds to go was rebounded by senior
Julencia Curtis. The Deltona, Florida native sealed the win with two made free throws for the YellowJackets.

Next, the LeTourneau women's basketball team heads into the ASC Tournament for only the second time in program history. The YellowJackets, who enter the tourney as the No. 8 seed, will face host Texas-Tyler – the No. 1 seed – on Friday, Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m.
