Box Score Dwayne Patterson and Andre Potts of Concordia scored 27 and 26 points, respectively to lead the Tornados to a 104-73 win over the LeTourneau University men's basketball team on Saturday in Austin.

Patterson went 11-for-16 from the field and Potts went 5-for-9 from the 3-point line as the Tornados improve to 16-5 overall and 13-5 in the American Southwest Conference. The duo was joined in double digits by Brett DeMetrotion, who added 10 off the bench.

Chris Hynes came off the bench to lead LeTourneau with 14 and 11 points, respectively.
The loss drops the YellowJackets to 4-16 overall and 3-14 in the American Southwest Conference. The duo was joined in double digits by sophomore Ladaria Brown, who had 11 points. Brown nearly had a double double with eight rebounds; meanwhile, senior
Justin Jones had a team-high nine boards in the loss.

After both teams exchanged early baskets, Concordia led for 37 of the 40 minutes of the contest. With the advantage, Concordia outscored the YellowJackets, 66-22 on points in the paint and 34-13 on points off turnovers.

When Potts made a 3 pointer with 7:10 to go in the first half, it put the home team up by double digits – 25-12 - for the rest of the contest. The closest that LeTourneau would get as close as 17 in the second half; however, the host Tornados kept the YellowJackets from making a comeback with 59.5% shooting from the field.

The YellowJackets will return to action with its next contest when they face Hardin-Simmons University on Thursday, Feb. 13 in Abilene at 7:30 p.m.
