LONGVIEW, Texas --  LeTourneau men's basketball junior Logan Brinkoeter and sophomore Cooper Smith were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® team, announced the organization on Tuesday.

CSC, formerly known as CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. 

Brinkoeter, a junior from Georgetown, Texas, earned All-SCAC honorable mention in 2025-26. The junior started a career-high 24 games and averaged career-highs in points (10.8) and rebounds (7.6) while shooting 54.2 percent from the field. Brinkoeter was a two-time SCAC Defensive Player of the Week and totaled 10 double-doubles on the year. He had a stretch of five straight double-doubles at one point during the season.

Majoring in business management, Brinkoeter garners his second consecutive CSC Academic All-District honors and is a two-time ASC Academic All-Conference selection.

Smith, a sophomore from Heath, Texas, collects his first CSC Academic All-District honor. Majoring in business finance, Smith started 19 of his 24 games played this season. The sophomore averaged career-bests in nearly every statistical category, averaging 7.1 points per game, 4.6 rebounds per game, and had 30 steals on the season. Smith had a career-high 23 points in a win over Belhaven (Nov. 15) and produced a career-high 11 rebounds against Texas Lutheran (Jan. 23) and Concordia Texas (Feb. 28), collecting a double-double in both games.

Smith was an ASC Academic All-Conference selection in 2024-25.

To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-America® program students must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA, be a significant contributor to the team (having started in 66 percent of the team's games or played in over 90 percent of those games), and be at least a sophomore academically.
