The LeTourneau University men's tennis team extended its winning streak to four with a 9-0 win over Howard Payne University on Thursday in Longview.
For LeTourneau, it is their second 9-0 win in league play as they improve to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the ASC. Howard Payne drops to 0-7 overall and 0-3 in the ASC.
LeTourneau swept the doubles matches in convincing fashion. The No. 1 doubles team of sophomore
Laird Beaty and junior
Kendall Beggs as well as the No. 3 doubles tandem of sophomore
Michael McLaughlin and freshman
Tyler Grove each won by a score of 8-1. At No. 2 doubles, junior
Sindre Johnsgaard and sophomore
Morgan Weaver won by a score of 8-2.
Johnsgaard continues to have a strong spring for LeTourneau as he won his seventh match in a row with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles. Beggs won his fifth-straight and fourth in a row in straight sets with a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles.

Morgan Weaver each won their fourth in a row at No. 4 and No. 5 singles, respectively; plus also posting a 6-0, 6-0 win was
Laird Beaty – No. 3 singles and
Tyler Grove – No. 6 singles.
LeTourneau will next host Ozarks on Friday at 3 p.m. at the Davis Tennis Courts. In last year's matchup, LeTourneau rallied from a 4-1 deficit to defeat the Eagles, 5-4 in Clarksville.
