The LeTourneau University men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to Rhodes College on Sunday in Orange Beach, Ala.
 
The YellowJackets (6-3) started the day with a victory at No. 1 doubles by Kendall Beggs and Laird Beaty. The duo defeated the team of Eliot Blatt and Trevor Lew, 8-3 to improve to 7-1 on the spring. The Lynx won the other two doubles matches.
 
In singles action, Laird Beaty – who was playing in the No. 2 singles flight – was victorious in a 6-1, 3-6, 1-0 (11-9) to extend his winning streak to three on the season. For the spring, he is 6-2. The other singles victory for the YellowJackets came at No. 3 singles by Sindre Johnsgaard, who won in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1 to improve to 8-0 on the spring. He has dropped just two sets in the eight matches.
 
The Spring Break trip to Orange Beach continues on Monday at 4:30 p.m. when they will take on Transylvania University.
