YellowJackets Come Up Short Against Rhodes, 5-4

The LeTourneau University women's tennis team dropped a tightly-contested match to Rhodes College, 5-4 on Sunday in Orange Beach, Ala.
 
The YellowJackets (5-4) started the day with a win at No. 3 doubles with the twin sisters of Amy and Kristi Miley winning by a score of 8-1. It is the first collegiate win for the tandem.
 
In singles, Sarah Case picked up her fourth-straight win at No. 1 singles with a 5-7, 7-6 (7-4), 1-0 (10-5) win over Amelia McIssac. Kayla Bonina also picked up her fourth-consecutive win with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Elyse Smith at No. 3 singles. On the spring, Bonina has a 7-1 mark to lead the YellowJackets. The third YellowJackets win in singles came at No. 6 singles with Kristi Miley making quick work of her opponent, 6-0, 6-2. It is her second win of the spring.
 
The Spring Break trip to Orange Beach continues on Monday at 4:30 p.m. when they will take on Transylvania University.
