The LeTourneau University men's tennis team had its four-match winning streak snapped on Tuesday when Hardin-Simmons defeated the YellowJackets, 7-2.
In doubles, the lone win for LeTourneau came at No. 3 doubles with the tandem of
Morgan Weaver and
Michael McLaughlin defeating Jordan Wilson and Andrew Eurek, 8-4. It was the first time, this spring that Weaver and McLaughlin had played together.
The other victory, on the day, came at No. 2 singles with sophomore
Laird Beaty defeating Michael McCullough, 4-6, 7-6 (7-4) and 1-0 (10-8). For Beaty, he is 9-1 on the season at No. 2 singles and has a team-best 16 wins.
Next, the YellowJackets return to Longview for a pair of ASC matches on Saturday, Apr. 5 at 9 a.m. vs. Sul Ross State and a 3 p.m. contest vs. East Texas Baptist at the Davis Tennis Courts.
