The LeTourneau University women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to host Hardin-Simmons University on Tuesday.
The YellowJackets picked up their first win on the afternoon when
Amy Miley and
Miranda Lamb were victorious at No. 3 doubles, 8-4. The win improves their record to 3-2 on the season.
LeTourneau was also victorious at No. 1 singles when senior
Sarah Case rallied to win in three sets, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3. For Case, it is her third-straight win and improves her record to 7-6. The Van Alstyne native has won seven of her last 10 matches.
The other win came at No. 5 singles when senior
Miranda Lamb won in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2 over Alynna Phouthakhio. With the win, Lamb improves to 4-2.
Next, the YellowJackets return to Longview for a pair of ASC matches on Saturday, Apr. 5 at 9 a.m. vs. Sul Ross State and a 3 p.m. contest vs. East Texas Baptist at the Davis Tennis Courts.
