Men's Tennis Falls to Texas-Tyler, 8-1

LETU sophomore Laird Beaty won the YellowJackets' lone match, 6-3, 5-7, 1-0 (10-8) to extend his winning streak to seven.
The LeTourneau University men's tennis lost to host Texas-Tyler on Thursday, 8-1 at the Summers Tennis Center.

The Patriots, who are ranked No. 7 in the latest ITA West Regional Rankings, swept all three doubles matches to begin the contest. LeTourneau, ranked No. 20 in the same rankings, picked up its only win at No. 2 singles. 

LETU sophomore Laird Beaty won the YellowJackets' lone match, 6-3, 5-7, 1-0 (10-8) to extend his winning streak to seven. For the season, Beaty is 15-3 overall and 8-1 against conference foes.
 
LeTourneau will wrap up American Southwest Conference play on Monday, April 21 as they take on Mississippi College in Clinton at 1 p.m.
