Box Score 2 The LeTourneau University baseball team wrapped up its series with Sul Ross State, splitting a doubleheader on Friday. The YellowJackets took game one, 6-5 in 11 innings and dropped the nightcap, 3-2 in Alpine.

Garrett Methvin went 3-for-6 with four RBI to lead LeTourneau to a 7-6 win over Sul Ross State in game one.
After the YellowJackets had gained a 2-1 lead in the fourth, Sul Ross State scored four times in the bottom of the sixth. However, LeTourneau failed to concede with a three-run seventh inning. In the seventh, after back-to-back singles by freshman

Chris Bertram, Methvin delivered a three-run home run over the right-field wall at Kokernot Field.

th, with one out, the YellowJackets loaded the bases after a walk, hit by pitch and a single to set the stage for the game-winning RBI single by Methvin. Senior
Jordan Price came out of the bullpen to pitch the final 4 innings for the win, holding the Lobos to three hits and striking out four.
Game 2A RBI single by Josh Vasquez in the bottom of the seventh led host Sul Ross State to a 3-2 win in game two.
LeTourneau (23-11, 17-10 ASC) took a 1-0 advantage in the second when junior
Caleb Pritchett successfully squeezed in sophomore
Sean Sellers from third with two out.
Sul Ross State (17-17, 13-14 ASC) gained a 2-1 lead when they took advantage of a pair of YellowJacket errors in the third inning.
A RBI single by Pritchett brought in Sellers for the second time to tie the game at 2 for the YellowJackets in the fourth. The game remained a pitchers' duel until the seventh inning as the Lobos' first two batters reached base. With runners on first and second, Vasquez drove in Turner Mattson from second to end the contest.
The YellowJackets will return to Longview for its final home series of the season when they host Mary Hardin-Baylor, Apr. 25-26.
