LeTourneau Women's Tennis Loses to Hardin-Simmons, 5-1

The LeTourneau University women's tennis team lost in the quarterfinals of the 2014 ASC Tennis Championships to Hardin-Simmons University, 5-1 on Friday.
 
The YellowJackets (8-12) tandem of Sarah Case and Kayla Bonina dropped a tough match at No. 1 doubles to begin the afternoon. Case and Bonina lost in a tiebreaker, 9-8 (7-5) as the Cowgirls took all three of the doubles matches for an early 3-0 lead.

Case rebounded to win in straight sets at No. 1 singles, winning 6-3, 6-1 over Genene Haddad. The Cowgirls ended the match wins at No. 2 and No 4 singles to end the match. Three matches were left unfinished.
 
The match was the final contest for four LeTourneau seniors – Case, Bonina, Miranda Lamb and Shelby May.

Hardin-Simmons University advances to face No. 1 seed Texas-Tyler at 11:30 a.m.
