The LeTourneau University women's tennis team clinched a spot in the upcoming ASC Tournament with a 9-0 win over Sul Ross State and an 8-1 win over East Texas Baptist on Saturday.

Prior to their last match of the day against East Texas Baptist, LeTourneau honored its senior class –
Kayla Bonina,
Sarah Case,
Miranda Lamb and
Shelby May. All four have been valuable contributors on and off the court to the YellowJacket program.
The YellowJackets won all three of its doubles matches for an early 3-0 lead. Needing just two singles victories to clinch the match and when Bonina was victorious at No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-2, it clinched the match and the berth in the ASC Tournament for LeTourneau. LeTourneau went on to win five of the six singles matches en route to an 8-1 win over the local rival.
The YellowJackets will travel to Sherman, Texas for its next two matches where they will face Austin College on Saturday, Apr. 12 at 10 a.m. and face the University of the Southwest at 3 p.m.
