JoLynn O'Kelley ended a scoreless tie in the first overtime for her second goal of the season to propel the women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie on Saturday.

On the game-winning goal, sophomore
Stephanie Vana broke free along the right side of the pitch to make a pass to
Raylene Gould, who had a shot that was denied by the SAGU goalkeeper Amber Belise. However, an alert O'Kelley picked up the blocked shot and came out of nowhwere on the left side of the goal for the game-winning goal.Â

"We played with a lot of energy and composure, which allowed us to compete against a quality opponent helping us to pull out a win," said Vana. Â
LeTourneau will next begin the rigors of the American Southwest Conference for its next three matches away from home. First, they will travel to the University of Texas at Tyler on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 6 p.m.
