The LeTourneau University women's tennis dropped an 8-1 decision to local rival UT Tyler on Thursday at the Davis Tennis Courts.
 
The lone win for the YellowJackets came at No. 5 singles by freshman Kristen Ladner. The freshman from Lufkin outlasted in three sets against Emily Hoover at No. 5 singles, 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (10-4).
 
The loss drops LETU to 0-7 on the season and 0-1 in the ASC East Division, UT Tyler improves to 10-3 overall and 2-0 in the ASC East Division.
 
Next, LeTourneau will host a pair of non-conference matches on Saturday when they host Jacksonville College (9:30 a.m.) and Southwestern University (2 p.m.) on Senior Day. Between the matches, the YellowJackets will recognize senior Megan Rush.
