The LeTourneau University women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to local rival, East Texas Baptist University on Thursday at the Davis Tennis Courts in Longview.

LETU (1-10, 0-2 ASC East Division) picked up its lone win at No. 5 singles by freshman Kristen Ladner. The newcomer from Lufkin picked up her fifth win of the season with a three-set win over Karah Hedquist, 6-1, 3-6, 1-0 (10-6). The five wins by Ladner are the most on the LETU roster.
 
Next, LeTourneau will travel to face Hendrix College on Thursday, Apr. 9 at 3:30 p.m. and the University of the Ozarks on Friday, Apr. 10 at 1 p.m.
