Box Score The LeTourneau University women's soccer team scored in each half en route to a 2-1 win over host East Texas Baptist University on Friday night in Marshall.

Keely Hayden had a foot in each of the goals as LETU defeated its nearby rival for the first time since October 11, 2007. LeTourneau is 2-0 in American Southwest Conference play for the first time since 2006.
The Tigers (1-6, 1-1 ASC) got on the board in the 31st minute when Stephanie Castillo found the back of the net.
The duo of Keer and Hayden have accounted for 11 of the 14 goals for LeTourneau in the first seven games for LeTourneau. The tandem worked together on the equalizer in the 38th minute when Keer took a pass from Hayden upfield and fired a shot over the ETBU goalkeeper to tie the contest at 1.
Later in the half, Davis picked up a clutch save on a Chase Swann in the 43rd minute to send the two teams tied at 1 at the intermission.
LETU junior
Stephanie Vana organized the attack early in the second half with three shots before Hayden found the back of the net in the 59th minute. The Alvin, Texas native ripped off a shot from 20 yards out for what proved to be the game-winning goal. It is her second game-winning goal of the season for the YellowJackets.
Vana and LETU continued to pressure the ETBU defense with a pair of shots, looking to add to its lead. Davis and the defense limited ETBU to just two shots in the final 45 minutes.
The YellowJackets will return to action on Thursday, Oct. 1 against the UT-Tyler at 5 p.m. in Tyler, Texas.
