LETU Women's Tennis Falls to Ozarks 5-4 on Senior Day

The LeTourneau University women's tennis dropped a 5-4 decision to Ozarks on Senior Day in Longview.


The YellowJackets recognized Savannah Wessies (pictured) in pre-match festivities for her contributions to the program, both on and off the court. 

Sophomore Rachel Morisseau and freshman Terin Murray were victorious by an 8-4 margin at No. 1 singles. The YellowJackets nearly pulled off a win at No. 2 doubles with freshman Lauren Rockwell and Morgan Weaver, dropping a 9-8 decision.

Morisseau and Murray picked up their second wins on the day with victories at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively. Morisseau was a 6-4, 6-1 winner at No. 1 singles over Kayla Tucker and Murray defeated Paige Myers, 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.

The other victory for the YellowJackets came with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles by Rockwell.


The next match for LeTourneau is on Friday, Apr. 15 at 11 a.m. against Louisiana College at the Davis Tennis Courts.
