LeTourneau men's and women's tennis hosted the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire on Wednesday afternoon for a duel match at the Davis Tennis Courts. The Blugolds took the men's duel by a score of 8-1 and the women's duel 9-0.
 
Freshman Christian Farris was the sole match winner for the YellowJackets. The El Paso native improves to 7-2 on the year at the No. 3 position.
 
Senior Ty Grove played a tough match at No. 1 losing the first set in tie breaker 7-6(5) and dropping the second set 6-4 to UWEC's Mauthe.
 
The LeTourneau men fall to 5-5 overall on the season while the women are now 0-9 on the year.
 
The YellowJackets will be back on the court this weekend with a home match against Mary Hardin-Baylor on Friday (weather permitting). LETU will then travel to Sherman on Saturday for a duel with Austin College.
