ABILENE, Texas – Getting to play in the first of two fall tournaments in two weeks, the LeTourneau University women's tennis team saw two individuals advance to Saturday's third-place matches to go along with three wins in doubles matches on day one of the 2018 American Southwest Conference Fall Invitational Tournament in Abilene, Texas on Friday, September 14th.
In the flighted competition, LETU got opening-match victories from freshman
Bailey Deatherage and junior
Gracie Favela while
Maddison Brackenreg,
Terin Murray, and
Lauren Rockwell all earned consolation bracket wins to advance to Saturday's fifth-place matches.
Doubles action saw Rockwell and
Samantha Trevino team up in the flight "C" bracket to earn a consolation win over Kyser and Torres Diaz while Favela and Deatherage along with Brackenreg and Murray also earned consolation wins in their respective flights. You can view results from all of yesterday's action below.
