GEORGETOWN, Texas -- LeTourneau University men's tennis team picked up three doubles wins Thursday in the opening round of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southwest Regional.
Paulo Cressio and
Jeffrey Golladay defeated Concordia Texas' Noah Villareal and Adam Compton, 8-3, in the C draw.
Miles Grubbs and
Gavin Meyer beat Albert Hernandez and Erick Glazner of Howard Payne, 8-3, in the C bracket.
In the D draw,
Dale Wallace and
Collin Patterson were 8-7 (7-4) winners over East Texas Baptist's Matt Fuhr and Braden Petru.
Jimmie Henson and
Christian Farris lost to St. Thomas' Race Haas and Jace Ware, 8-7 (7-1), in the A bracket.
Nathan Schmidt and
Rodrigo Vazquez Chairez fell to top seed Jordan Pitts and Cameron Krimbill of Trinity, 8-1, in the A draw.
In the B bracket,
Jonah McGinty and
Julian Lee dropped a tight match to Hardin-Simmons' duo of Chris Beavers and Hayden Keller, 8-6.
