GAME 11
-Â Â Â Â LETU returns to the floor for the first time in 13 days, opening the new year with against Austin College in Sherman, Texas, at 1 p.m. Saturday.
-Â Â Â Â The YellowJackets are 8-2 on the season, dropping their final two games in 2021 after beginning the
James Wallace era with eight-straight wins. UMHB handed LETU its first defeat of the season, 91-89, in overtime Dec. 18. Less than 24 hours later,
Concordia Texas sent LETU back to Longview with a second overtime loss, this time on a game-winning field goal with 3.3 seconds left in overtime, earning the 89-87 decision.
-Â Â Â Â This is the third of five-straight road games for LETU. The YellowJackets are 2-2 away from Solheim Arena, with both wins coming at a neutral site. They won the Carroll Pre-Thanksgiving Tournament, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, with victories over Bethany Lutheran (Nov. 19) and Crown College (Nov. 20).
-Â Â Â Â Austin is 3-6 overall, posting a 2-3 mark in December. The 'Roos defeated Howard Payne (Dec. 11) and Dallas (Dec. 19). They are 2-4 at home, with both wins coming against ASC opponents. Austin defeated Ozarks (Nov. 23) before the triumph over Howard Payne.

-Â Â Â Â The YellowJackets are 13-18 against the Kangaroos.
-Â Â Â Â LETU enters the contest with a six-game winning streak in the series.
-Â Â Â Â In the last matchup between the two squads, The YellowJackets defeated Austin 89-76, Dec. 16, 2019, in Sherman, Texas.

-Â Â Â Â The YellowJackets average 9.0 triples per game, the second-best mark in the league and 85th in Division III.

-    LETU is 5-0 when holding opponents under 80 points (74 by Crown, 70 by ETBU, 67 by Texas Lutheran, 66 by Belhaven and 58 by Sul Ross State).     Â
-Â Â Â Â The YellowJackets average 4.8 blocks per game, the 29th most in the country and leading the American Southwest Conference.
-Â Â Â Â LETU place second in the league in defensive rebounds and steals per game, while total steals and 3-point field-goal defense are third.
