LONGVIEW – LeTourneau University men's tennis team dropped its match to Concordia University Texas, 7-2, Friday.  

Julian Lee and Patrick Baney defeated Joshua Bode and Esteban Arredondo, 8-6, at No. 1 doubles. Rodrigo Vasquez Chairez and Nathan Schmidt fell to Robin Van Der Heijden and Joeri Bregman, 8-4, at No. 2 doubles. Miles Grubbs and Jonah McGinty beat Jorge Garcia and Nico De La Pena, 8-4, at the No. 3 doubles position to conclude doubles play.

The YellowJackets led 2-1 overall in the match, moving into singles play.

Lee fell to Bode, 6-4, 6-4, at No. 1 singles. At the No. 2 spot, Vasquez Chairez lost to Van Der Heijden, 6-3, 6-0. Baney was defeated by Bregman in the first set, 6-3, but beat Bregman in the second set, 6-3, before losing the third set super tiebreaker, 10-5, in the third position. Schmidt lost to Arredondo, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 4 singles. Gavin Meyer fell to Evan Pena Jr, 6-2, 6-4, at No. 5 singles. Alex Barrero lost to Garcia, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 6 singles. 

LeTourneau fell to 2-2 on the season.

LETU hosts Schreiner University and Hardin-Simmons University in a pair of dual matches, starting at 9 a.m.
