Box Score MARSHALL, Texas – LeTourneau University women's tennis team fell to East Texas Baptist University, 9-0, Thursday.

Bailey Deatherage and Summer Apostalo lost to Elisa Kendall and Maddi Davis, 8-1, at No. 1 doubles. In the No. 2 slot, Sierra Linssen and Julia Miller fell to Ashley Schenck and Corrine Hall, 8-0. Brandy Weems and Amber Van Duyn were defeated by Kelsey Roberts and Faith Kirk, 8-2, at No. 3.

The YellowJackets trailed 3-0 moving into singles play.

Deatherage finished first at the top flight, falling to Kendall, 6-0, 6-1. Apostalo followed, losing to Roberts, 6-2, 6-0, at the No. 3 position. At No. 2 singles, Linssen lost to Schenck, 6-0, 6-2. Miller fought hard at No. 4 singles, falling to Hall, 7-6 (7-3), 6-1. Mimi Samdi lost to Syvoney Ybarra, 6-1, 6-3, in the No. 5 spot. Van Duyn fell to Gabbi Hammerbach, 6-1, 6-3, at No. 6.

LETU suffers first conference loss this season, falling to 3-1 in American Southwest Conference play.

LeTourneau will host the University of Texas at Dallas Saturday for their Senior Day and final match of the regular season.
