Jackets Claim Forfeit at Louisiana College

Box Score PINEVILLE, La. – LeTourneau University men's tennis team picked up a 9-0 forfeit win at Louisiana College Friday. It was the Jackets' second win in American Southwest Conference play.

With the Wildcats having a shortened roster, the YellowJackets (9-2, 2-0 ASC) won in doubles play after one exhibition match. In the lone exhibition match, Jonah McGinty and Kenny Munoz rolled over Tyler Carlin and Ting Jiang, 8-1.

McGinty defeated Carlin, 6-4, 6-1, at No. 1 singles. At the No. 2 slot, Camp Stevens beat Jiang, 6-0, 6-0. James Langley beat Bailey Hardy, 6-2, 7-5, at No. 3 singles. All three matches were exhibition matches. Rules state a team must field at least four players for the match results to count.

It was Munoz's and Langley's first matches of the season. 

The YellowJackets will be back in action Saturday 9 a.m. against Southwestern University in a non-conference matchup.
