ABILENE, Texas – LETU concludes its five-game road trip at Kimbrell Arena against McMurry at 2 p.m. Saturday.
The YellowJackets evened their road mark at 2-2, with an 85-77 victory over No. 22 Hardin-Simmons Thursday. LETU outscored the Cowboys 50-36 in the second half to overcome just the third halftime deficit of the season for the YellowJackets.
Andrew Eberhardt posted a career-high 25 points, leapfrogging Steven Quinn of Hardin-Simmons for second in the American Southwest Conference with 19.4 ppg.
Kyle Matthews fell three assists shy of a triple double, finishing with 13 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists.
Warren Richardson notched his fifth double-double, with 14 points and 10 boards.
Deonte Jackson tallied 10 points, five assists, two rebounds and two steals.
Christian Adams tallied nine points and eight boards.
LETU trails the all-time series 6-13, with a 5-1 mark in the last six contests. The YellowJackets won last season's only meeting, a 91-88 overtime victory at Solheim Arena.
Deonte Jackson led all scorers with 23 points, hitting 10 of 15 from the floor, including 4 of 5 from behind the arc.
