Women's Hoops Opens Season with Exhibition

NATCHITOCHES, La. -- Kyndall Hardeman had 11 points and the LeTourneau women's basketball team opened the 2022-23 season with a 79-34 exhibition loss at NCAA Division I foe Northwestern State on Monday night.

LeTourneau, under first-year head coach Scot MacAllister, begins the regular season on Friday vs. Centenary in the ETBU Classic in Marshall. It was the regular season opener for Northwestern State (1-0).

Hardeman had 11 points to lead the way for the YellowJackets, while adding four rebounds. Ajanae Thomas added six points and four boards, while Kylie Weeks tallied five points.

Northwestern State grabbed an early lead and never trailed. Shelby Rainer led the way with 17 points.

LeTourneau begins the regular season on Friday vs. Centenary in the ETBU Classic in Marshall (5 p.m.).
