About McMurry
The War Hawks come into the match after falling to two quality opponents in its first two matches to begin the season. MCM fell to Midwestern State University, 7-0 and the University of St. Thomas, 8-1. McMurry fosters in a very young roster, with only two upperclassmen. MCM will lean on junior Hope Turner, who competes at No. 1 doubles and singles, to set the standard for the War Hawks. Turner was named to the ASC all-conference team in Flight 5 singles as well as the West Division first team in Flight 5 a season ago. Turner also competed at No. 1 doubles last year, selected as the top flight 1 doubles team in the division, finishing 4-2 in conference matches. McMurry filters back in sophomore Hannah Defriend, who was named to the all-division team in Flight 2 doubles last season. Defriend competes at No. 2 doubles and singles. Freshmen McKenzie Carroll has the lone win for the War Hawks at No. 6 singles.
