• LETU enters the 2022 American Southwest Conference as the No. 2 seed after finishing the regular season 15-4 (
.789) in league play.
• The YellowJackets, 20-4 overall, face No. 6 seed Sul Ross State (10-15), which won four of its final six games, all against teams that qualified for the championship.
• LETU swept the season series, claiming a 67-58 triumph in Longview, Texas, Dec. 2, 2021, before escaping Alpine, Texas, with a 98-96 overtime Jan. 22, 2022.
• The YellowJackets won 11 of their last 13 ASC games.
• This is the 10 ASC Tournament appearance for LETU, including seventh in succession and eighth in the last 10 seasons.
• The YellowJackets claimed their lone title by defeating ETBU in 2020, hosted by Sul Ross State in Alpine, Texas.

• The YellowJackets went 20-4 overall.
• Wallace became the first coach in program history to win 20 games in their first season.

LETU vs. SUL ROSS STATE (29TH Meeting)
• The series is even at 14-14
• LETU owns a five-game winning streak against the Lobos, dating back to Dec. 6, 2018, the most wins in succession by the YellowJackets in the series.
• The YellowJackets are 2-2 against the Lobos in the ASC Tournament, losing 97-72 in 2016 and 110-101 in 2019. Both occurred in the quarterfinals, with the first in Alpine, Texas, while the second meeting was at UT Dallas in Richardson, Texas. In 2017, LETU claimed a 90-74, quarterfinal triumph in Longview, with the second coming during the championship run in 2020. The YellowJackets advanced to the championship game with a 73-67, victory on the Lobos home floor.
