Baseball begins road swing at Schreiner

LONGVIEW, Texas – LETU embarks on a six-game road trip, beginning against Schreiner in Kerrville, Texas, Saturday.
 
The YellowJackets (5-11) face the Mountaineers (6-5) in a three-game series, including a doubleheader Saturday, with first pitch set for none. Sunday's finale is set for 1 p.m. at Bob Henry Field.

• Isaih Hernandez owns a .500 batting average, pacing Scheiner, which features six regulars with a percentage over .300.
• Gerardo Cardozza leads the team with 17 runs, while Joseph DiCarlo's 15 RBIs and seven extra-base hits are the most on the squad.
• The potential pitching rotation for the weekend series, based on previous lineups this season: freshman Appollo Cassimatis (2-1, 3.86), freshman Fito Mendez (3-0, 4.08) and freshman Justin Gallegos (1-1, 5.40).
