Box Score ABILENE, Texas – LETU men's tennis suffered a loss at Hardin-Simmons Tuesday, 8-1, in an American Southwest Conference cross-divisional matchup.

The Jackets trailed early, dropping the first two flights of doubles. Julian Lee and Patrick Baney lost to Alex Pavkovich and Desmond O'Shea at No. 1, 8-2. Jonah McGinty and Miles Grubbs fell to Nathaniel Schoendorf and James Moore in line two. Ryan Holloway and Nathan Schmidt took down Josh Lopez and Davyn Williford at the third position, 8-5, to give LETU a one point deficit.

LeTourneau had a rough going in singles play, falling in all positions, granting the Cowboys the match victory.

Pavkovich defeated Lee at the top flight, 6-1, 6-1. Holloway dropped a point to Schoendorf, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 2. Moore beat Baney in the third slot, 6-2, 6-2. Schmidt fell to O'Shea in the fourth position, 6-3, 6-0. Andres Urretia lost at No. 5 to Lopez, 6-2, 6-1. Williford defeated Grubbs at line six, 6-3, 6-4.

The YellowJackets open ASC East divisional play Saturday against Belhaven at 10 a.m. at the Davis Tennis Courts.
